The Cottonwood Ridge Fire is a lightning-caused fire that started on July 23, 2023. The fire is approximately 4 miles south/southwest of Show Low on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation.

Fire fuels are primarily mature ponderosa pine, grass, brush, gambel oak and clumps of manzanita.
As of 8/3/2023, fire behavior is minimal and smoldering. The fire has not seen significant growth in the past 6 days, and possibility of additional growth is minimal.
